DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. – A Penbrook man is arrested after his three year old son is found wondering along the 2700 block of Boas Street.  Jeremey Kauffman, 27, is being charged with one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

An investigation revealed that Kauffman knew his child’s whereabouts were unknown for some time and made no effort to locate the toddler. Only after he was alerted by a neighbor that police had his son, did he go out to look for him.

A telephone alert system provided through Dauphin County Department of Public Safety, Office of Emergency Management, was used to notify people in the area of the child being found.
