SLOW WARMING: Cool air and high pressure remain in place for Thursday, bringing plenty of sunshine to the Lower Susquehanna Valley. After a chilly start for many, just a few afternoon clouds are expected. Conditions are quiet, and there are no rain chances at all. It’s still cool and a bit breezy, with highs in the lower to middle 70s. The wind ease late tonight and skies remain clear. Overnight lows are expected to be quite cool, even chilly again. Temperatures fall into the upper 40s to middle 50s by daybreak. Friday the slow warming continues. We also get a break from the strong breezes. Highs are in the middle to upper 70s under plenty of sunshine.
WEEKEND OUTLOOK: We’re watching rain chances for the weekend. Saturday is the day under the microscope, making it a 50/50 weekend. We’re still monitoring severe weather chances for Saturday. Be sure to keep that in mind for any outdoor plans. It’s a bit warmer, and the humidity ticks up as well. Highs are in the lower to middle 80s. Highs remain near 80 degrees Sunday, and skies dry out.
NEXT WEEK: Monday another cool pool of air slips into the region. Expect partly sunny skies, with highs back into the 70s for the entire region. Some warming takes place Tuesday, with plenty of sunshine. Our next chance for showers and thunderstorms is likely on Wednesday.
