Woman overdoses on heroin, saved by Narcan, faces charges

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. -On Monday, May 23, at 3:09 PM, Shippensburg EMS and Shippensburg Police Department were dispatched to the Turkey Hill convenience store at 209 West King Street, Shippensburg, for a drug overdose. An unidentified female was unresponsive and reported to be turning blue.

Officers arrived and found the female lying on the ground, near the gas pumps. Information at that time was that the female overdosed on heroin so Narcan was administered to the victim.  She later became responsive while being treated in the ambulance en-route to the hospital.

Upon investigation, it was found that the female was in possession of Heroin, Marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

Borough police say charges are pending.
