LITTLESTOWN, Pa - The Adams County Coroner's Office has identified the two victims in an apparent murder-suicide that occurred early Sunday morning in Adams County.
The Coroner's Office says 36-year old Donald Powell Jr. and 9-year old Codie Powell both died of apparent gunshot wounds.
According to police, they responded to a domestic situation at a home along James Avenue in Littlestown around 4 am Sunday. Police say a man killed his nine-year old daughter and shot his wife before turning the gun on himself. The father and the daughter died at the scene and the mother was taken to York Hospital where she is in stable condition.
The Coroner's Office says autopsies are scheduled for Tuesday morning at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown.
