LYKENS, Pa.– Police are investigating a motor vehicle crash that involved an Amish horse drawn carriage and caused several serious injuries on Sunday.
The crash occurred just before 8 p.m. when a 2007 Honda Odyssey collided with the back of the carriage on State Route 25.
The driver of the Odyssey was not injured but the collision caused passengers to be ejected from the carriage. Two passengers were transported by air to Penn State Hershey Medical Center while the other three were transported by ground. In total, all five of the passengers within the carriage are listed in critical condition.
State Route 25 will be closed until further notice.
