Jury finds Palmyra man not guilty in 2015 sexual assault
PALMYRA, Pa. –A Palmyra man accused of sexual assault in October 2015 was found not guilty on all charges in Lebanon County Court last week.
According to court documents, 20-year-old Evangelos Aftosmes faced a jury trial on September 11.
He was found not guilty on the following charges:
- two counts of involuntary sexual deviate sexual intercourse-forcible compulsion
- two counts of sexual assault
- Aggravated indecent assault without consent
- two counts of indecent assault without consent of other

Evangelos Aftosmes, 19, of Palmyra is free on bail after his arrest on a forcible rape charge.
Investigators say the incident happened on October 24, 2015 at 11 p.m. at a home along the 900 block of East Oak Street.
Aftosmes, was arraigned this morning on two counts of Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse – Forcible Compulsion, two counts of Sexual Assault, Aggravated Indecent Assault Without Consent and two counts of Indecent Assault Without Consent of Other.
Following arraignment, Aftosmes was released after posting $25,000 bail. He is scheduled to face a preliminary hearing on the charges on July 1st.
