HARRISBURG –The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced that Jonathan Santana, age 35, of Shippensburg man was sentenced today to 14 years imprisonment in Harrisburg.

Santana pleaded guilty on January 13, 2016 to distributing more than 100 grams of heroin and criminal conspiracy. Co-defendants Angelo Harrison and Dorothy Washington, also of Shippensburg, have also pled guilty in federal court  and are both awaiting sentencing.

This case was brought as part of a district wide initiative to combat the nationwide epidemic regarding the use and distribution of heroin. Led by the United States Attorney’s Office, the heroin initiative targets heroin traffickers operating in the Middle District of Pennsylvania and is part of a coordinated effort among federal, state and local law enforcement agencies.
