UPPER ALLEN TWP., Cumberland County, Pa. — Police need help identifying a suspect in a theft from a Rite Aid store.

It happened on June 16 at the Rite Aid at 330 Cumberland Parkway. A man, caught on this surveillance picture, entered the store and attempted to purchase a pack of gum with a $100 bill.

He laid the bill on the counter, and as the cashier was counting out change, the suspect distracted the cashier in conversation. He then picked up $100 bill. As soon as the cashier handed the suspect $89 in change, he exited the store and left in an unknown vehicle in an unknown direction of travel.

Police are asking that anyone with information regarding the theft or the identities of the suspect to contact Upper Allen Police at 717-238-9676. An anonymous tip line is also available by calling or texting 717-850-UAPD (8273).
