CONESTOGA TOWNSHIP, Pa–A Lancaster County woman made a startling discovery when she returned home from work last month. She found a stranger asleep in her living room.

The incident occurred on June 21 at a home along the first block of Safe Harbor Village in Conestoga Township.

According to police, a 32-year-old woman came home from work to find a hand written note on her door that read, “Don’t be scared when you come in, Bob is here.”

When she walked into her home she found a man, later identified as 28 year-old Robert Sheets, of Holtwood, sleeping on her living room sofa. Officers responded to her home and and tried several attempts to wake Sheets. Police say he was under the influence of a controlled substance and was in possession several prescription pills that were not prescribed to him.

Investigators say the woman’s boyfriend knows Sheets, but not that well. The boyfriend did not know how Sheets found out where he lived and told police he never gave Sheets permission to be on the property.

Sheets was arrested and taken to Lancaster County in lieu of $20,000. He is charged with criminal trespass and possession of a controlled substance.
