Police in Carlisle were called to the 600 block of W. Louther Street for reports of a man with a gun.

Officers say, they saw Christopher Schmuck at the front of the Quick Stop Deli.

Schmuck had a concealed 45 caliber glock handgun in the waistband of his pants police said.

Through investigation, police realize that Schmuck was extremely drunk and was attempting to give teenagers gun safety tips.

At one point, the weapon had a live round in the chamber, police said

Schmuck didn’t have a license to carry a handgun.

Schmuck is now charged with weapons violations, reckless endangerment, public drunkenness, and disorderly conduct.
