MECHANICSVILLE, Va. –A Chambersburg man is facing first-degree murder charges after a 24-year-old woman was found dead inside of a vehicle in Virginia on Thursday, according to the Hanover County Sherriff’s office.
Authorities arrested Willie J. Bibbs, Sr., 64, in the death of Sharece Branche, 24. Both are from Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.
WTVR-TV reports that deputies responded to the crash at about 12:20 p.m. Thursday in the 7000 block of Mechanicsville Turnpike, near Sujen Court.
Branche’s body was found inside of the crashed vehicle with a gunshot wound to her head. Police say Branche’s three-year-old daughter was also inside the vehicle. The girl was not injured in the crash.
Bibbs is also charged with use of a firearm in commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Bibbs was taken to Pamunkey Regional Jail with no bond.
