COLUMBIA, Pa. – A Columbia woman who allegedly stole from the same store on three separate occasions was arrested as she applied for a job there. Rhonda Lynn Diehl, 44, is charged with three counts of retail theft after several incidents during the same week at the Musser’s Market at the Columbia Plaza, 960 Lancaster Avenue.
On Monday, July 25th Diehl allegedly took items from the store and went out through a cashier lane that was not opened. Police identified Diehl through surveillance footage.
Two days later on Wednesday July 27, police were called back to Musser’s for another retail theft involving Diehl again. She fled from the store by going out the entrance as someone came into the store prior to police arrival.
Then the next day on Thursday, July 28, Diehl, who was discovered to have had sixteen (16) items in her purse, attempted to apply for a job at the store. But her luck finally ran out and she was arrested in the store.
Diehl is free on $1,000 bail pending a preliminary hearing.
