Update: Man, 20, dead after officer involved shooting in Harrisburg

HARRISBURG, Pa. - Police are investigating an officer involved shooting in Harrisburg. Earl Pinckney ,20, was shot by an officer according to police. District Attorney Ed Marsico says around 9:00pm Sunday night police were called to the 2300-block of Green Street. The caller had said that Pinckney had a knife to his mother's neck. Officers entered the home.  An officer, whose name has not been released, shot Pinckney. He died at the scene.

The Criminal Investigation Division of the Dauphin County District Attorney's Office is now investigating the incident. Police are asking for the community to be patient with the investigation and to remain calm.
