HARRISBURG, PA- Harrisburg police say one man was shot in the leg in Harrisburg’s Allison Hill section Tuesday night.

According to police, officers were called to multiple shots fired reports in the area of 14th and Market streets just after 11:00 p.m.

When officers arrived they  found an abandoned vehicle with the driver’s door hanging open in the middle of the street. The vehicle had been struck multiple times by bullets.

While investigating, officers were notified of a gunshot victim who was found a block away at 15th and Market streets.

The victim, 24-year-old man, was  found lying on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to his leg.  Police have not yet released the identity of the man.

The vehicle which was a block away, belonged to the victim. The victim told police that unknown assailants opened fire on him.

No additional information was immediately available.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Harrisburg police via Dauphin County emergency dispatch at 717-558-6900. Ask for a detective or supervisor.

Dauphin County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2000 for information leading to an arrest in this incident. You may also submit a tip through the Harrisburg Crime Watch website.  All tips remain confidential, police said.
