Body found along I-83 has been identified

York County, Pa.- The body that was found along a gravel path adjacent to southbound Interstate 83 has been identified.

According to State Police, 36-year old Shannon Martin of York, was  found by a passerby early Friday morning.

Police say Martin is a black male and had multiple gunshot wounds when they discovered his body. Investigators say evidence indicates that Martin was shot at another location and then dumped onto the gravel path.

An autopsy is scheduled at Lehigh Hospital to determine the cause and manner of death.

State police are investigating this incident as a homicide.
