Tracking thunderstorms for the next few days

Tuesday is the wettest and stormiest day of the week.

LESS HEAT: The showers and storms cross with a weak cold front. As a result, we’ll get highs in the low 90s on Monday, but we still stay pretty humid.  The humidity lingers all week again.

Most of us get 90s on Monday.

MORE THUNDERSTORMS:  Even though we’ll have partly sunny skies on Monday, a few hit or miss thunderstorms pop up after 2 P.M.  The late-afternoon and evening thunderstorms will bring heavy rain and lots of lightning again, if you happen to get one.  All of us will see some showers and thunderstorms on Tuesday.  Some of these storms will have wind gusts capable of producing damage.  Otherwise, just expect lots of rain and lightning with Tuesday’s storms.  The scattered showers and thunderstorms will slowly wrap up Tuesday night.  On Wednesday, we’ll start the day with clouds and a leftover shower and storm.  Then, we dry out and turn partly sunny for the afternoon.

We've got dry weather Friday and Saturday.

80S RETURN: After one last day in the 90s–our sixth in a row–the 80s return on Tuesday, and they stay for a few days.  The 90s come back for the weekend.

90s close out the week.

DRIER WEATHER: We stand to see just one or two thunderstorms on Thursday, so most of us stay dry under partly sunny.  Then, the dry weather continues for all us until Sunday.  On Sunday and Monday, we’ll get widespread scattered showers and thunderstorms.  The storms wrap up on Monday with a strong cold front, so we’ll drop the humidity and 90s beginning Tuesday of next week.
