ORLANDO, Fla.–  A 30-year tradition at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida is being phased out, permanently.

The famous “Main Street Electrical Parade” that rolls through the park at the end of each night will soon go dark. Disney has announced the last night to see the parade will be October 9th.

The electrical parade features many Disney characters surrounded by about a half-million lights. The special light show on wheels has been a tradition for more than 30-years. Disney has not said whether a new attraction will replace the parade in Florida, however it will head west and become a nightly feature at Disneyland in Anaheim, California.
