High Construction awarded $22M contract for Landis Homes’ new Learning & Wellness Center

LANCASTER, Pa.– High Construction Company was awarded a $22M contract to provide construction management services for a new Learning & Wellness Center for Landis Homes in Lititz, Pa.

Construction is slated to begin in September, and will include the demolition of nine existing cottage buildings containing 30 homes currently located at the site. The new facility will be completed at the beginning of 2018.

High Construction has been involved with the project since December 2014, providing estimating, value engineering, scheduling, and other preconstruction services to support the planning and design for the facility.

Designed by RLPS Architects, Lancaster, Pa., the new center will be located in the heart of the Landis Homes community, spanning 105,000 square feet in four stories. Spaces for learning, wellness, community, and living are planned, including an indoor pool, exercise space, bistro, salon, pharmacy, bank, auditorium, and a classroom. Also within the footprint are 22 residential living apartment homes, offering four floor plans, ranging from one to two bedrooms, and 1,145 to 1,395 square feet.
