HARRISBURG, Pa. – Police seek help from the public with information on two recent violent crimes in the city.  Both occurred in the evening hours of Wednesday, August 17th.

At 8:41 p.m.  police responded to a hold up alarm at 26 North 19th Street, the Madera Brother’s Mini Market.  Responding officers learned that a robbery that had taken place and that the suspect had been shot by one of the employees.

The store employee told police that the suspect entered the store and pointed a handgun at the clerk behind the register.  The employee was able to retrieve a loaded shotgun and fired at the suspect.  The suspect fled leaving a small blood trail inside the store.  The suspect is described as a black male who is 6 feet tall.  No one else was injured during this incident.

A male passenger was found standing near the vehicle.  He had received facial injuries from when the car slammed into the tree.  The unidentified man said they were driving when they heard multiple gunshots.  They attempted to flee the area and crashed into the tree.  At this time there is no suspect description.
