Two explosions hit police stations in eastern Turkey, killing six people and wounding nearly 200 others, authorities said Thursday.

In one incident, a car bomb exploded outside a police station in Van on Wednesday, killing three people, including one officer, according to a senior Turkish official

At least 73 others were injured, including 20 officers, the official said.

Kurdish militants were suspected of carrying out the attack, according to state news agency Anadolu.

Less than 24 hours later, a second explosion hit near police headquarters in Elazig, Anadolu reported. Three police officers died and about 100 people were injured, including civilians.

No one has claimed responsibility for the blasts.

It is the fifth explosion in the past two weeks to target police offices in southeastern and eastern Turkey.

Clashes between the Kurdistan worker’s party, or PKK, and Turkish forces have been ongoing since a peace process crumbled in 2015.

The PKK were responsible for a separate bomb attack in Ankara in February 2016, which targeted off-duty police officers.
