ROSSITER, PA — A Pennsylvania Amish teen is charged with driving his buggy drunk. The driver and passengers were also cited with underage drinking.

The charges, announced this week are the result of an incident in Indiana County on July 8th. A State Trooper spotted an Amish buggy with two people riding on the roof.

The driver of the buggy, 18-year-old Robert Miller, appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, according the the police report.

During the traffic stop 20 unopened bottles and cans of beer were seized from inside the buggy along with two open cans of beer.

According to the police report the trooper spoke with Miller and his four friends, and all admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages.

All four passengers of the buggy (that was designed to transport two passengers safely) were under the age of 21.

Miller was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI and consented to a blood draw that resulted in a .065% BAC, which is above the .02% limit for a minor.
