BELLEFONTE, Pa.-- Former Penn State University assistant football coach and convicted sex offender Jerry Sandusky is returning to the court today.

In 2012, he was convicted of sexually abusing 10 boys and was sentenced to 30-60 years in prison. He filed an appeal for the conviction blaming his trial lawyers saying they were ineffective.

Today, Sandusky will return to the Centre County Courthouse for the second of three appeal hearings. Last week, for the first time, he took the stand in his own defense saying he is innocent and his victims' testimony was absolutely not true.

FOX43's Leah Kirstein has the preview of today's proceedings on FOX43 Morning News.

A decision on whether or not he will receive a new trial could be made as early as the end of the day August 23.
