New Holland man arrested, charged after raid uncovers meth-dealing operation

NEW HOLLAND, Pa.– Lancaster County Drug Task Force has put an end to an “upper-level” dealer’s run of selling methamphetamine for the last several months.

Marion “Chet” Griffin Jr., 43, has been arrested and charged with several felonies after a recent raid and street sales that were under police surveillance.

While Griffin is described as an “upper-level” dealer, he is not believed to be manufacturing the meth.

These charges followed a hearing in which evidence was uncovered that showed Griffin was selling meth out of his former home and business at 808 E. Main Street in New Holland, among other locations.

Recently, Griffin moved to a camper on Narvon Road in Narvon, which was raided by authorities on August 17.

During the raid, detectives found 81.3 grams of meth, baggies, scales, $1907 in cash, and a Stevens single-shot shotgun.

The meth has an estimated street value of over $12,000, with most meth selling at $150 per gram, according to detectives.

In total, Griffin has been charged with three counts of possession with intent to deliver, two counts of criminal use of a cellphone, a felony firearms charge, and misdemeanor drug paraphernalia.

District Judge Raymond Sheller arraigned Griffin Thursday and set bail at a combined $3.5 million.
