Steelton man charged with stealing 90 packs of cigarettes

STEELTON, Pa. – A Steelton man is charged with stealing dozens of packs of cigarettes and possession of heroin.

On Monday, August 22, Steelton Borough Police responded to a theft at the Turkey Hill on North Front Street.  A male suspect reportedly walked into the store, went behind the counter and took 90 packs of cigarettes while the clerk was busy with other customers.

Officers were able to identify the suspect with store surveillance video and today police arrested 28 year old Kevin Ruffin. He was also found to be in possession of 15 bags of heroin.

Ruffin was taken to the Dauphin County Judicial Center for arraignment.
