SMALL STORM CHANCE
A weak cold front approaches Thursday. Ahead of it, the increasing heat and humidity may lead to a few afternoon and early evening showers and thunderstorms. Expect them to be hit or miss with many areas staying dry. Highs are warmer in the middle and upper 80s. The front fizzles out overhead and does not provide relief to the sticky weather. In fact, Friday is hot and humid with highs in the lower 90s. There is a very small chance an afternoon thunderstorm develops but most areas are dry under mostly sunny skies.
It is sticky and very warm both days, dry too. Saturday most areas see highs in the middle and upper 80s, while we nudge temperatures up a bit closer to 90 degrees on Sunday.
UNSETTLED WEEK
We stay warm into early next week with highs still around 90 for Monday. Our next frontal system arrives Monday and hangs overhead through Tuesday, and brings a threat for showers and thunderstorms both days. Highs Tuesday are still very warm in the upper 80s. Expect the humidity to hang on too.
