CHICAGO, Illinois– Chicago Police say two men are in custody and facing charges for the death of NBA star Dwyane Wade’s cousin, Nykea Aldridge.
Darwin Sorrells Jr., 26, and Derren Sorrells, 22, have each been charged with first-degree murder and first-degree attempted murder.
Darwin Sorrells has also been charged with a count of criminal trespass, which is a misdemeanor.
Aldridge was pushing her infant child in a stroller on Friday when several men pulled out guns and started firing shots. She was struck and killed in the crossfire. According to a family spokesman, the baby, who is about three weeks old, was not hurt.
