DOVER TWP., York County, Pa. — A man is charged with arson after an early morning fire in Dover Township. It happened just before 2am Saturday morning at 106 Honey Locust Circle. Witnesses told police officers responding to the fire they saw a male fleeing the area.

As fire equipment from Dover Township and other departments extinguished the blaze, Officers began searching the area for the suspect.

Officers located Dustin Strine hiding in a shed at 104 Honey Locust Circle. Strine, 30, was reportedly intoxicated, sitting next to a case of beer, a partially empty gas can, and two lighters. Strine was found to be a resident of 106 Honey Locust Circle.

No one was inside the residence at the time of the fire. Investigation indicates the fire started in the kitchen area of the residence.  Gasoline had been poured onto the kitchen cabinets and surrounding area and then set ablaze.  The residence still had a strong odor of gasoline after the fire was extinguished.

Strine was transported to Central Booking to face arraignment on the following charges:
– Arson
– Causing/Risking a Catastrophe
– Recklessly Endangering Another Person
– Public Drunkenness
