Human skull found in Schuylkill County

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the discovery of a human skull in Mahanoy Township.

The skull was discovered at about 8:30 a.m. Monday in a wooded area at Schuylkill Energy Resources of Jack Rich Incorporated, 120 Yatesville Road. A search was conducted yesterday and today by State Police. No further skeleton remains were discovered.

Additional analysis of the skull will be conducted in an attempt to identify and determine the cause of death.
