Police seek to identify suspects in ‘Quick Change’ scam

YORK COUNTY, Pa. – Southern Regional Police are seeking help from the public in identifying two suspects in a theft that occurred on August 20, at the Shrewsbury Giant.

The two male suspects are seen on surveillance cameras getting out of  the passenger side of a Cadillac and walking into the store. Once inside Suspect 1 makes a small purchase and during the exchange of money the suspect confuses the cashier and swindles over $500 dollars from the cashier.

Police say this type of theft or scheme is commonly referred to as “Quick Change”. During this scheme money is transferred several times confusing the cashier and typically results in the offender receiving more “change” than originally owed.

The two males are also suspects in other related incidents.
