LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. – West Lampeter Township Police have charged Michael Shane Gerlitzki, Jr. in the rape of a 15 year old girl.
The charges filed today by Detective Steven Heinly, were the result of an incident that occurred in Willow Street in October 2012. Additional charges against Gerlitzki include Statutory Sexual Assault, Sexual Assault and other related charges.
Gerlitzki had been a fugitive of justice since February 2014 when he violated his probation. There was an active bench warrant since then and until he was picked up in Dauphin County in July. After he was picked up he was transported to Lancaster County Prison where he remains.
Following arraignment this morning, District Justice Benner set bail for Gerlitzki at bail at 1 million dollars.
