Poll: Are you excited to purchase wine at Pennsylvania grocery stores?

State liquor modernization efforts are showing up all across Central Pennsylvania. Among stores that have started to sell wine in the Midstate is Wegman’s in Mechanicsburg.

Hours of operation have already adjusted so that in addition to 188 stores that are open Sundays from 12 to 5 pm, another 94 stores will operate from 11 am to 7 pm. There are 26 additional state stores that will be open by Labor Day weekend, according to a PLCB news release.

“We’re really establishing a new retail industry in Pennsylvania and while we want to make wine to go sales in grocery and convenience stores a reality as quickly as possible for Pennsylvania consumers we’re also committed to doing it right,” PLCB executive director John Metzger said.
