YORK, Pa. – York City Firefighters responded at 1:55 p.m. this afternoon to a reported structure fire with entrapment at a residence in the 500 block of South George Street near Maple street.
Fire crews had the fire under control within minutes of arrival. The fire was contained to a 2nd floor balcony. The occupant of the residence got out safely.
South George Street was closed from South Street to Cottage Place while fire crews were on the scene. There were no reported injuries.
