YORK CITY, Pa. – York City Police search for an elusive suspect involved in a chase on city streets Thursday. The incident began at around 3:45 p.m. and ended less than an hour later in the 300 block of Miller Lane.

The suspect lead police on a chase that circled South Queen Street to East College Avenue, to South George Street to Boundary Avenue back to South Queen Street.  The suspect, an unidentified male, abandoned the vehicle, a grey compact car, and fled on foot.  Police searched several abandoned homes in the area, but the suspect eluded capture.  The suspect’s vehicle was towed away.

There were no reported injuries. So far no word on why police were pursuing the suspect. The investigation continues.
