Mazda has announced a worldwide recall of over two million vehicles to fix a problem with the rear hatch.

The lift supports for the hatch are susceptible to corrosion if water gets on them.

The factory failed to apply enough protective coating to prevent the problem.

This recall affects more than 759,000 cars and SUV’s in the US and Canada including certain 2010-2013 Mazda 3 Compact Cars, 2012-2015 Mazda 5 Vans, and certain 2013-2016 CX-5 and 2016 CX-3 SUV’s.
