Minor injury in Franklin County school bus crash


FRANKLIN COUNTY, Pa. – Only one minor injury is reported in a crash involving a school bus in Franklin County.  It happened at about 2:43 p.m. at the intersection of South Potomac and West 6th Street.

According to police the Waynesboro Area School District bus was traveling west bound on 6th Street and crossing Potomac Street when it was struck on the left rear side by a car traveling north bound on Potomac Street.

The bus had 35 middle school and high school student passengers on board. One minor injury was reported and individual was treated on scene. Bus was operable and continued on route when released from scene.

The driver of the car was not injured. The vehicle had moderate damage and was towed from the scene. Wayneboro Police are investigating the incident.
