MECHANICSBURG, Pa. – A 9-year -old child is hospitalized after running into the path of a vehicle over the weekend. It happened at about 4:53 p.m. Sunday afternoon along the 1st block of East Marble Street, Mechanicsburg.
Police say it appears that the child ran into the roadway from between two parked vehicles. The driver did not see the child and could not stop in time. The driver did stop.
The injured child was transported to the Penn State Hershey Medical Center for treatment. No word on the extent of injuries.
Borough police say no charges are planned against the driver.
