NEW HOLLAND, Pa. — A couple’s domestic dispute that turned physical ended with with both parties being charged. Police say a woman, Teresa Barrett, 53, came to the New Holland Police station to report she was assaulted during a domestic dispute while at 115 E Main St in the borough.  Barrett had visible injuries to her face which she said were caused by her boyfriend, Ward Robinson, 63, also of New Holland. 

Barrett accused Robinson of punching her in the face and putting her in a headlock when she refused to have sex with him. Officers went to 115 E Main St where they took Robinson in to custody.  Robinson had visible injuries to his scalp.  Robinson told police he had been struck three times with a hammer during the domestic dispute by Barrett.  A witness to the altercation reported Robinson and Barrett engaged in a mutual physical altercation. Police charged both Robinson and Barrett with Simple Assault and transported both individuals to Lancaster County Central Arraignment where they are currently waiting to be arraigned on the charges.
