YORK COUNTY, Pa. – The Northern York Education Association and the Northern York County School Board have agreed upon a new five year contract for 2016-17 through 2020-21 school years.

Terms of the pact include the following:

• Average annual salary increase of 3%, offset by changes to the healthcare benefit plan as outlined below.

• Healthcare benefit changes:
o Implementation of deductible as follows:
* 2018 – $250 Individual / $500 Family (in network)
* 2019 – $375 Individual / $750 Family (in network)
* 2020 – $450 Individual / $900 Family (in network)
* 2021 – $450 Individual / $900 Family (in network)
o Implementation of a Spousal Eligibility Exclusion effective November 14, 2016
o Elimination of Premium Share effective September 14, 2016
o Minor changes to medical copays, dental benefits and vision benefits
• Additional of a PhD Equivalent/Masters +90 column in 2021
• Inclusion of the Early Announcement Retirement Incentive
• Increase to Athletic Contract rates ($1 increase per point every even year)
• Increase to Extra Duty Contract rates ($1 increase per point every odd year)
• Increase to Instructional Hourly rate ($2 increase in year one, $1 increase every year
after)
• Reduction of total yearly tuition reimbursement maximum from 15 to 12 credits
• Extension of the Long Term Substitute MOU for 5 years
• Extension of the CAOLA (online learning) MOU for 5 years
