SPRINGETTSBURY TWP — York County homicide suspect Veronique Henry was found dead Thursday at York County Prison.
The York County Coroner was called to the prison around 10AM regarding a death.
Henry was found unresponsive in her cell after what appears to be a hanging.
Despite medical intervention, Henry did not regain consciousness and died.
Henry was one of two alleged suspects in a double homicide Tuesday night in Fawn Twp.
Chief Deputy Coroner Claude Stabley and Deputy Coroner Tania Zech responded to the prison and certified the deaths.
Because the death occurred at the prison, PSP is the investigating police department.
Per protocol for prison-related deaths, an autopsy has been scheduled for tomorrow morning, at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown.
Updated autopsy results will be available after that time.
Henry’s next of kin has been notified.
