Crash sends one to the hospital, closed lanes on Route 30 for hours

HELLAM, Pa.-- A two-vehicle crash sent one person to the hospital and left the westbound lanes closed on Route 30 near the Hellam Exit for several hours this morning.

The crash occurred shortly after midnight.

Officials say a tow truck came to a stop in the westbound lane. A white truck carrying a car struck the back of the tow truck.

A Life-Lion Helicopter took the driver of the truck to the hospital.

The extent of the injuries are unknown at this time.

Route 30 WB reopened around 5 a.m. today.
