Domestic Abuse Awareness event

DALLASTOWN, YORK COUNTY, Pa.– A day of fitness fun was held on Sunday, for a special cause.

Dozens of people gathered at the Dallastown High School stadium to raise awareness of domestic violence and honor the memory of Becky Craver-Strasbaugh. She was a victim of domestic violence. The money raised from the event will benefit her two young sons, for their education and lifelong needs.

“Well, I think Becky is just going to be dancing in heaven today because she just loved to smile, she loved a good party, and she’ll just be so joyful to know that she has a voice,” event organizer Mindy Quesenberry, of My Fitness Quest, said. “Through this tragedy, if we can just help one person through this and one person knows that there is help out there, we’ve won.”

Some of the day’s activities included a 5K run, lacrosse clinic, soccer clinic, yoga classes and other fitness classes. FOX43 was a proud sponsor of the event.
