Driver ID’d in hit-and-run that injured 5-year-old in Upper Allen Township

UPPER ALLEN TOWNSHIP, Pa.– Police say they have identified the driver of a vehicle who fled the scene after hitting a 5-year-old girl in Cumberland County.

It happened Wednesday along the 1100 block of Granada Lane in Upper Allen Township around 2:50 p.m.

Witnesses reported the striking vehicle as a silver car that was possibly a Mitsubishi Eclipse or similar type vehicle with silver alloy wheels and a low profile spoiler on the rear.

Upper Allen Township Police say they have found the vehicle and the driver has been identified. So far, they have not released the person’s identity.

No word on the condition of the little girl who was struck.

The incident remains under investigation.
