UPDATE: Carlisle Police Department phone lines operating after being down this afternoon

CARLISLE, Pa. – The Carlisle Police Department released a report this afternoon saying the phone lines at their department were “currently out and nonfunctional.”

A few hours later, the department acknowledged the phone lines are operational again.

There’s no word on what caused the incident.

Residents were asked to call Cumberland County Control at 717-243-4121 to reach the police department.
