LANCASTER, Pa. -- The Black Dog Motorcycle Ride made its way through Lancaster County on Sunday afternoon to raise funds for mental health training.

Dozens of bikers, including many veterans, participated in the ride. It's part of a worldwide project to raise funds for mental health services.  Locally, funds from the ride will go to fund mental health training for both veterans and first responders.

"Most people wouldn't hesitate to help someone suffering a heart attack with CPR, and we want people to not hesitate to help someone who is having a mental health issue and mental health first aid is the vehicle to help us achieve that goal," said Julie Weaver, Vice President for Mental Health Services at Mental Health First Aid.

The community services group Mental Health First Aid and Capital Blue Cross organized the ride.
