Autopsy: Man found in Spring Creek drowned

HARRISBURG, Pa. — The Dauphin County Coroner says the man found in Spring Creek Tuesday morning drowned. A hiker on the Greenbelt discovered the body of William Pettis in the creek around 9:38am on Tuesday September 27th.
Detectives identified Pettis, 69, from Venice Beach, California and say he traveled to the area from California via bus for a family function. Family members advised that Pettis suffered from Dementia. There does not appear to be foul play involved in this incident.
