East Lampeter Township, Lancaster County, Pa. –Police say a man stole from a woman’s purse at a local business after he’d asked for an application for employment. It happened around 1:30pm Wednesday, September 28th at the Hair direct office in the Greenfield Corporate Center. The suspect asked for an application and left, only to return a short time later. When he returned, he asked the employee at the desk for a glass of water. When the employee left, the suspect was behind her desk. He left, and the employee discovered she was missing cash and credit cards from her purse. The suspect is described as a black male, about 6′ tall, bald. He was wearing glasses, a green polo shirt and khaki shorts.   The victim believed that it was the same suspect that jumped the receptionist desk and ran through the Greist building Tuesday and stole a wallet from another downtown business the day before.    Anyone with information is asked to submit a tip or contact East Lampeter Twp Police at (717) 291-4676.

Lancaster City Police say that on Monday between 12pm and 1pm, an employee inside an office at the Griest Building, 8 N. Queen St., noticed that a wallet had been stolen from a desk.  The theft was not witnessed and no suspect information was immediately available. Subsequent information and follow-up revealed that a credit card that had been in the wallet was fraudulently used at the Rite Aid, 59 N. Queen St., shortly after the theft had been discovered.

King St. came out to the lobby of the building and discovered a male going through her purse. The male fled through the building. The suspect was described as a black male, 40’s, shaved head, beard, glasses, last seen wearing a red hooded jacket. Police were contacted and checked the interior building and garage but the suspect was not located.  LSC was contacted and reviewed video from the area. Images of the suspect were found. The attached photos show images of the suspect from both dates. The image on the right were the suspect is seen wearing a tie is from Monday and the image on the left is from the incident on Tuesday.  Anyone with information on either incident or the identity of the suspect is asked to contact Lancaster City Police Det.
