YORK, Pa.-- Millersville University is set to host its Breast-A-Ville event for the sixth year.

Breast-A-Ville, a wellness fair that concentrates attention on breast health education and breast cancer awareness for both men and women, will be held on Millersville's campus on Wednesday, October 5 from 10:30 to 1:30 in front of the Student Memorial Center.

The hope is that the event can help college age women and men develop positive lifestyle behaviors. While many believe breast cancer is a disease of older people,  it can, and does develop in younger women as well.

Breast-A-Ville is a safe and highly interactive environment for students to learn about something serious. There are community educators present to answer questions and provide information.

Over the past five years, over 1,700 students have participated in Breast-a-Ville, with student attendance increasing each year. Over 65 community and university organizations have participated in these events as well.

Today on FOX43 Morning News, Dr. Dennis Denenberg, a professor emeritus at Millersville University and founder of the breast cancer awareness initiatives at the school will be offering details on the event. He will be joined by Dr. Jenny Monn, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Nursing at Millersville. She is the Chairof Breast-a-ville and the campus breast health initiatives.
