Juvenile charged with stealing a minivan in Lancaster

LANCASTER, Pa.– A 17-year-old is facing charges after stealing a minivan on Wednesday.

At approximately 3:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, an officer responded to a report of a vehicle theft. The victim had video surveillance of the juvenile taking the keys for a Ford Windstar van. A short while later, the juvenile returned and stole the vehicle.

The officer proceeded to search for the van toward its last direction of travel. While driving in the southeast section of the city, the officer spotted the vehicle in the area of Rockland and Dauphin Street.

He was able to follow the vehicle to Milburn Park, where he took the juvenile driver into custody.

The 17-year-old is now facing charges of Theft By Unlawful Taking and Criminal Conspiracy among other related charges.
