York man pleads guilty to 3rd degree murder in 2015 shooting, sentenced 15 to 40 years in prison

YORK, Pa. – Cody Stiffler, 24 of Springettsbury Township, plead guilty in York County Court this morning third degree murder in the shooting death of 23-year-old Andrew Jackson in York.

Jackson was found mortally wounded in a hallway along the 300 block of East Cottage Place on September 1, 2015.

In a plea deal, Stiffler was sentenced by Judge Maria Musti Cook to 15 to 40 years in prison. The deal avoids a trial that was set for November.
