HARRISBURG, Pa.– On Wednesday, October 12, PennDOT maintenance crews will convert the intersection between Route 214, South Pleasant Avenue, and Hess Farm Road in York Township, York County, from a three-way Stop condition to a four-way Stop condition. The work crews will install a new Stop sign with an “Except Right Turn” plaque on the eastbound Route 214 approach to the intersection. (This portion of Route 214 approaching the intersection is also known locally as Hess Farm Road. Route 214 becomes known as Pleasant Avenue east of the intersection.) The change is intended to improve traffic safety for all motorists traveling through this intersection.
